Indications

Cattle
Treatment of acute inflammation and pain of various origins including respiratory disease, musculoskeletal conditions, mammary oedema and ephemeral fever.

Horses
Treatment of acute inflammation and pain of various origins including especially due to musculoskeletal disorders, post-surgical inflammation and pain, and pain associated with colic provided surgical intervention is not required.
General – For the suppression of untoward inflammatory reactions and associated pain and fever.

 

Dosage and Administration

Cattle
Administer by Intravenous or Intramuscular routes in the neck.
Dose: 3 mL per 100 kg bodyweight (3 mg ketoprofen per kg) for 1-3 consecutive days.

Horses
Administer Intravenously.
Dose:
Musculoskeletal disorders: 1 mL per 45 kg bodyweight (2.2 mg ketoprofen per kg) once daily for 3-5 consecutive days.
Colic: 1 mL per 45 kg bodyweight. One injection is usually sufficient. A clinical examination should be carried out prior to treatment or retreatment.

Use the contents within 28 days of first broaching of the vial. Discard the unused portion.

 

Contraindications

Contraindicated for use in Pregnant Mares and in Foals that are less than 15 days old.
Contraindicated in Cattle and Horses with Gastrointestinal ulceration or severe renal insufficiency
