Cephalexin

Wagg & Purr® Cephalexin is for the treatment of susceptible bacterial infections.

Size: 500 mg & 1000 mg tablets

Dosage and Administration

The tablets can be given orally or crushed and added to food.

The dose rate is 10-15 mg/kg bodyweight, twice daily for five days or at the discretion of the veterinary surgeon.

Indications

Wagg & Purr® Cephalexin is for the treatment of susceptible infections in dogs and cats including:

  • Infections of the skin and localised infections in soft tissues
  • Respiratory tract infections
  • Urogenital tract infections
  • Treatment and prophylaxis of osteomyelitis
  • Treatment of susceptible gastrointestinal tract infections in dogs

Contraindications

This product should not be used in animals that are hypersensitive to cephalosporins and penicillins.
